This is a brand new direct thread Sig Sauer 5.56mm SD Rifle Silencer. This model was built in limited numbers and held back from release while the SRD556 was introduced. They are thicker and appear slightly shorter than the SIG SRD556. They also seem slightly heavier than the SRD556 and we believe that may be to better withstand sustained high rates of fire.

We have a limited number of these silencers and after they are gone we cannot get more! Not only are they priced right, but they are a rare model.

Weight: approx 24.2 oz OAL: 6.8 in Thread pitch: 1/2x28

This suppressor is simply amazing! The intended use of this suppressor is for an SBR 10.5" or less. I have not been able to find out why SIG made these suppressors. I did find out that there are no barrel length restrictions and the baffles are 17-4 with tube being 316SS. This would explain why the the suppressor is heavy at 23 ounces. I own two of these CANS and have noticed that the later revisions are shorter by about 3/4". I run one of the CANS on a 6" 5.56 without any issues at all. The blast baffle shows wear but, I would expect that on such a short rifle. If you run the CAN on a 7" or longer barrel you will most likely never see any wear. I had a very minor issue with the CAN when I got it and SIG was great in regards to warranty. Osage County is fantastic to deal with and the shipping is fast! Review by BJIt (Posted on 8/15/2018)

There isn't much out there in regards to reviews on this suppressor so I will share my thoughts. I own two of the SDR5's and an SDR7. These suppressors are not light but, they aren't meant to be. To my knowledge the cans are solid 718 Inconel per my discussions with SIG. There are no barrel length restrictions with these suppressors except on the SDR7. SIG said that the minimum barrel length on the SDR7 is 10" with wildcat magnum rounds. Let that sink in for a minute. I am currently using one of the SDR5's on a 6" 5.56. There is very little flash out of the end of the suppressor on the 6" 5.56. Any other normal 1.5" tube diameter suppressor would not be able to achieve this. I would know because I own a lot of suppressors and have destroyed a couple of the major brands out there. The shear internal volume that these suppressors provide is second to none. Is the suppressor wearing on the 6"? Yes, it is but, any other suppressor except for two other manufacturers would not hold up to the abuse. How many people do you know running a 6" suppressed 5.56? If you have an SBR that is 7 - 10.5" this CAN would be awesome! Anything longer than that and the gun would be too front heavy. The CAN looks cool as hell there is nothing out there like it. SIG helped me with a small issue and didn't even bat an eye at it. So anything that you see regarding SIG not supporting this CAN is BS. Again, if you have an SBR less than 10.5" in length you want this suppressor! Osage is awesome to do business with! Review by Jit (Posted on 8/4/2018)
