Along with Kimber's numerous additions to the 2010 line, the Ultra RCP II saw a revival. The model which was previously discontinued a few years ago has been updated with a bobbed hammer, thumb safety and magazine release. The Ultra RCP II is a Custom Shop model and has a trench sight.
We have the Ultra RCP II available in our store along with detailed photos.
We just got some exciting news from our Kimber rep! We have an inbound shipment of Stainless Ultra TLE II models coming today or tomorrow.
Hopefully this is an indication that other 2010 models will follow shortly behind. In my last post I mentioned how the Ultra TLE II family was so easily overlooked. Sadly, Kimber hasn't posted any photos of this model on their site.
We'll shoot custom photos as soon as the shipment arrives and we'll post them here. In the mean time we're supplying a photo of the Stainless Ultra TLE II with the Crimson Trace lasergrips from SHOT Show.
Update 3-14-10 @ 2:45 PM: the shipment actually just arrived. We are processing the shipment and you can see the photos below. View the Stainless Ultra TLE II specs and purchase it in our store.
With all the attention being paid to the new Super Carry family, as well as the Centennial Edition 1911, many people have overlooked the new addition to the TLE family - the Ultra TLE II.
There are actually four different Ultra TLE II models:
- Ultra TLE II (blue finish)
- Ultra TLE II with Crimson Trace (blue finish)
- Stainless Ultra TLE II
- Stainless Ultra TLE II with Crimson Trace
The Ultra TLE II models all have night sights, frontstrap checkering, and aluminum frames. The blue models have steel slides and the stainless models have stainless steel slides.
With the addition of these new models, Kimber did cut back on a few models that were present in 2009...The two Ultra Carry II models that have been dropped are the Stainless Ultra Carry II with night sights and the Ultra Carry II with Crimson Trace lasergrips and night sights.
We've been in touch with our Kimber rep quite a bit over the last few weeks and we are just as eager as everyone else to see the new 2010 Kimber models. The latest word form Kimber is that the first batch of 2010 models will start shipping toward the end of April. I haven't been able to get any specific dates but we'll post updates as soon as we can get our hands on more information.
Right now, the Super Carry family is one of the most desired families offered by Kimber. When they arrive, we'll shoot detailed photos and post them quickly.
