Tannerite packs ten 1/2 lb targets with premeasured catalyst packets, a mixing container, and instructions. Mix one target at a time: empty the white granules into the mixer, add that target’s catalyst, shake to a uniform color, and pour the mix back into the bottle. A centerfire rifle bullet of at least 40 grains at 2,000 feet per second or faster initiates the mixed 1/2 lb charge, throwing a water-vapor cloud and a loud report you can read from the line. Place each 1/2 lb target at least 100 yards downrange. Keep unused bottles unmixed. Use mixed targets as shot indicators only. Confirm federal, state, and local rules; some California counties require a permit.
