Pour the white granules into the mixer, add the catalyst, and shake to a uniform color. Return the mix to the target bottle and cap it. A solid centerfire-rifle hit at 2,000 feet per second or faster sets off a water-vapor cloud and a thunderous report so you can confirm the shot. Tannerite places 1 lb targets at least 100 yards from the shooter. Keep the parts unmixed until you are on the range. Use the mixed target as a shot indicator only. Confirm local and state rules; some California counties require a permit.
