The Nighthawk Custom VIP Silver is a government-size 1911 in .45 ACP, built one pistol at a time. A 5-inch match-grade barrel is hand-fit, throated, and crowned flush with the bushing. Frame and slide are hand-fit stainless with deep engraving, mammoth bark grips, and a blended one-piece mainspring housing/magwell.

Sights are a Heinie black Slant Pro rear and a Nighthawk 14k solid gold bead front. The rear of the slide and ejector are serrated to match the sight. Ignition parts are polished; the extractor is tuned; trigger job is specified at 3.5 to 3.75 pounds on a medium solid trigger. The pistol is fully dehorned and ultra high-cut on the front strap with vertical serrations.

It ships in a custom walnut presentation case with two 8-round jeweled magazines. Empty weight is 38.2 ounces; overall length 8.66 inches; height 5.6 inches; sight radius 6.51 inches. Single-sided thumb safety and blended grip safety.
