The kit holds one 2 lb target bottle, premeasured catalyst packets, a mixing container, and instructions printed on the target label. Pour the white granules into the mixer, add the catalyst, and shake until the mix is an even color. Return the mix to the target bottle and cap it. Mixed, this 2 lb charge is a shot indicator: a solid hit from a centerfire rifle bullet of at least 40 grains traveling 2,000 feet per second or faster produces a water-vapor cloud and a loud report so you can read the strike from the line. Tannerite places 2 lb targets at least 200 yards downrange, off the ground, in a debris-free area. Keep the parts unmixed until you are on the range. Mix at the shooting site and use the mixed target as a shot indicator only. Do not mix more than 2 lb per shot. Confirm federal, state, and local rules before you buy or shoot. Some California counties require a permit for binary rifle targets.
