As with every part we offer, these grip safeties have been Fully Machines™ from a solid 6061 aluminum billet, giving our customers a lightweight, reliable replacement to a stock part. Every Nighthawk Custom beavertail grip safety has been designed to allow the shooter a higher grip on the pistol, keeping the hand closer to the bore axis to reduce muzzle flip. A hammer spur pocket allows the spur of a fully cocked hammer to sit subflush with the top of the safety. A memory pad at the bottom of the grip safety helps ensure repeatable drawing from a holster and consistent grip on the pistol. A .250” radius allows for proper fit on most 1911 models.
