Short Without the Usual Penalty

A shorter suppressor has less internal volume to work with, which normally means more backpressure, more gas in the face, and a harder-running action. B&T's RBS core is specifically what addresses that: the published figure is a negligible bolt speed increase of +/- 1.9% on M4 carbines. You get the handling of a five-inch can without your rifle suddenly running like it's over-gassed.

Hybrid Materials

A titanium body for weight, a 718 Inconel blast baffle where the heat and erosion actually occur, and a low-flash stainless steel endcap. That material strategy is why an 8.6-ounce suppressor carries a full-auto rating with no barrel length restrictions.

Barrel Length

B&T states the XH-556 SC is "optimized for 14.5-inch and longer carbines, while performing flawlessly on shorter barrels." There is no minimum barrel length restriction.

SOCOM Burn-Down Tested

B&T publishes the protocol: 240 rounds x 95 repeated cycles, equating to more than 22,000 rounds fired during the final testing phase.

Weldless and HUB Compatible

Produced by additive manufacturing as a single weldless structure with no weld seams to crack under sustained fire. It ships with a RAID taper mount and muzzle device and is HUB interface compatible at the industry-standard 1.375x24 TPI. Finish is Type 2 anodized gray.

B&T Suppressor Warranty

B&T states: "If your suppressor becomes non-functional or damaged during non-negligent use, we will be replacing your suppressor free of charge." Use of a 0-twist rifled barrel voids the warranty, as do handloads, incorrect-caliber ammunition, bore obstructions, and unauthorized repair attempts.
