What Actually Changed in Gen6

Glock lists nine changes, and unusually for a Glock generation update, most of them are things you feel in your hand:

• Palm swell — the grip is contoured to the natural curvature of the hand rather than being a straight-walled block.
• RTF6 grip texture — two textures combined, with extended coverage that now includes the thumb rest.
• Enlarged beavertail for a higher, more secure grip.
• Flat-faced trigger, standard — retaining the Safe Action System, but with the trigger geometry shooters have been installing aftermarket for years.
• Undercut trigger guard and a reduced frame-to-trigger distance.
• Glock serrations angled deeper into the slide for a more positive grip when racking.

The Aimpoint COA

The COA is Aimpoint's pistol reflex sight, and it is a genuinely serious optic rather than a bundled afterthought:

The A-CUT interface is the interesting part: instead of screws passing through the optic body into the slide, the COA locates on a front hook and a rear wedge. Nothing penetrates the housing, so the sealed enclosure stays sealed, and the recoil load goes into the slide rather than into two small screws.
