Holosun EPS – Enclosed Pistol Sight, Green 6 MOA Dot (EPS-GR-6)

The EPS is Holosun's enclosed emitter pistol sight, and the enclosure is the whole reason to buy one. On an open-emitter optic, rain, snow, lint, or a bead of sweat landing on the exposed emitter will wash out or kill your dot — the failure mode that has embarrassed a lot of people on a wet range day. The EPS seals the emitter behind a fully closed housing. This version runs a 6 MOA green dot, in a 1.4-ounce 7075 aluminum body rated to 5000G. UPC 810047072270.

Why 6 MOA, and Why Green

A 6 MOA dot is the fast one. It's big, it's easy to find under stress, and on a defensive pistol at defensive distances the precision cost is essentially zero. If you're building a carry gun rather than a bullseye gun, larger dots get you on target quicker.

Green at 540nm is the wavelength the human eye perceives most brightly. A green reticle appears sharper and more vivid than a red one at identical actual output, which is why many shooters find green faster to acquire in daylight — and why shooters with red-green color deficiency often see it dramatically better.

• 12 brightness settings — 8 daylight plus 4 night-vision compatible.
• Shake Awake with auto-off and setting memory — the dot wakes on movement and remembers where you left the brightness.
• Lockout mode prevents accidental button presses in a holster.

Mounting

The EPS uses Holosun's K footprint and ships with an RMR-to-K adapter plate, so it mounts on slides already cut for a Trijicon RMR without a separate purchase.

Will it fit my pistol?

6 MOA or 2 MOA?

6 MOA is faster to find and better suited to a defensive pistol. Smaller dots favor precision at distance. Most carry shooters are better served by the larger dot.

What's the difference between EPS and EPS Carry?

Same K footprint and same electronics. The EPS Carry is smaller — 0.77" x 0.58" window versus 0.90" x 0.63", and 1.23 oz versus 1.4 oz — and it adds a built-in rear notch sight and ships with an RMSc-to-K plate instead of RMR-to-K.
