I like shooting with a thumbs up grip. Frequently my thumb would hit the slide release and slide wouldn't lock back after the last round of a magazine on my p229. The reduced profile of this slide release lets the slide lock back every time for me. This falls into the must have category for me now. Just be aware that you might have to slightly re-profile your grips as they likely won't allow free movement of the new slide release.

I was having trouble with the slide not locking back on my 226RX. It did not happen on my 226 SAO Legion so I got the same slide lock and its definately better for me. It's a bit smaller than the Legion but is workable for my purposes.

Great low-profile option for the most of the P-series. It is visually the same as on the Legion line as far as I can tell from pics. As Josh mentioned, it's a game-changer for those of us with big thumbs that ride the full size slide catch lever. Can I have one in stainless steel? :)

I placed a pair of Sig Legion grips on my Sig P229 Nitron, and then discovered it wasn't an exact fit. The slide catch was shaped differently so I decided to upgrade the part with one for a Legion/P224. I couldn't find the part anywhere until I stumbled upon OCG (should have gone there in the first place). They shipped the new slide catch right away, which fit perfectly on my Sig P229 Nitron and accommodated the different shape of the Legion grips. Oh yeah, the slide catch itself is a genuine part from Sig Sauer (enclosed in the Sig Sauer plastic bag). The OCG price for the slide catch was also noticeably lower than any of the competitors I found.

I have a P226 Scorpion CA with the larger slide release. I have issues with my thumb riding the slide release and not staying open after the last round. This was an easy, drop in replacement for my firearm. Did minor filing on the grip to avoid interference.
