The pack holds ten 1 lb target bottles, premeasured catalyst packets, a mixing container, and instructions. Empty the white granules into the mixer, add the catalyst, shake until the mix is an even color, and pour it back into a target bottle. Mixed, each 1 lb charge is a shot indicator: a solid hit from a centerfire rifle bullet of at least 40 grains traveling 2,000 feet per second or faster produces a water-vapor cloud and a loud report so you can read the strike from the line. Tannerite places 1 lb targets at least 100 yards downrange, off the ground, in a debris-free area. Keep the parts unmixed until you are on the range. Mix at the shooting site and use each mixed target as a shot indicator only. Confirm federal, state, and local rules before you buy or shoot. Some California counties require a permit for binary rifle targets.
