The pack holds twenty 1/2 lb target bottles, premeasured catalyst packets, a mixing container, and instructions. Pour the white granules into the mixer, add the catalyst, shake to a uniform color, and return the mix to a target bottle. Mixed, each 1/2 lb charge is a shot indicator: a solid hit from a centerfire rifle bullet of at least 40 grains traveling 2,000 feet per second or faster produces a water-vapor cloud and a loud report. Tannerite places 1/2 lb targets at least 100 yards downrange, off the ground, in a debris-free area. Mix at the shooting site and use each mixed target as a shot indicator only. Confirm federal, state, and local rules before you buy or shoot. Some California counties require a permit for binary rifle targets.
