Sonicore machines the Skarv 22 from 6026-T9 aluminum and hard-coat anodizes it black so it does not glare. At approximately 3.2 ounces and 5.0 inches overall, it is the kind of rimfire can you actually leave on a pistol or a rifle without turning the muzzle into a lever. The Skarv 22 is built to come apart for cleaning. Sonicore includes a spanner wrench. Clean baffles with an aluminum-safe solvent and a brush; Sonicore recommends service at least every 1,000 to 1,500 rounds and does not recommend ultrasonic cleaners. Grease the threads on reassembly with a moisture-resistant, high-temperature anti-seize (Sonicore names Loctite LB-8023 as the type). Serialization is placed to reduce the chance a baffle or end-cap strike wipes the serial number.
