Vortex Diamondback Tactical 6-24x50 FFP – EBR-2C (MOA) (DBK-10028)
More magnification, more objective, and parallax that adjusts down to 10 yards. The 6-24x50 is the Diamondback Tactical for people who have decided distance is the point — 24x at the top end, a 50mm objective, first focal plane EBR-2C so your holds stay true at every power, and exposed turrets for dialing. Sunshade included. Vortex SKU DBK-10028, UPC 875874009615.
Twenty-Four Power, First Focal Plane
At 24x you can see what you're shooting at. In first focal plane, the EBR-2C scales with the image, so its MOA subtensions are valid at every magnification — range at 24x, hold at 12x, and the numbers still mean what they say. That is the entire argument for FFP, and it matters more the more you zoom.
Parallax to Ten Yards
The side parallax adjusts from 10 yards to infinity. That short end is genuinely useful — it makes this scope viable on a rimfire trainer or an air rifle, not just a centerfire precision rig, which is a real advantage if you practice at short range.
The EBR-2C Reticle
A hash-marked ranging reticle using MOA-based subtension lines for ranging, holdover, and windage corrections. It's a precision grid built for people who work the reticle rather than just centering a crosshair.

The 6-24x50 gets you more magnification and closer parallax. The 4-16x44 gets you a wider field of view, a lower bottom-end magnification for closer or faster work, and 20 more MOA of adjustment — worth noting if you're planning long-range dialing.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I use it on a rimfire?
Yes — the side parallax adjusts down to 10 yards, which makes it practical for rimfire and air rifle work as well as centerfire.
MOA or MRAD?
This is the MOA version. Vortex also offers MRAD (DBK-10029). Match it to your reticle, your turrets, and how you already work — don't mix units.
Why does the 4-16x44 have more adjustment?
Higher-magnification scopes typically trade internal adjustment range for erector travel. The 4-16x44 gives you 85 MOA versus 65 MOA here.
What rings do I need?
30mm rings, and likely tall ones given the 50mm objective.
