Vortex Diamondback Tactical 6-24x50 FFP – EBR-2C (MRAD) (DBK-10029)
The MRAD version of Vortex's long-range Diamondback Tactical, for shooters who work in mils. 0.1 MRAD clicks, an EBR-2C MRAD reticle in the first focal plane, a 30mm tube, exposed turrets, and side parallax adjustable from 10 yards to infinity. Sunshade included. Vortex SKU DBK-10029, UPC 875874009622.
Mils All the Way Through
The single most common cause of a missed long shot is a units mismatch — a MRAD reticle over MOA turrets, or a ballistic app in mils feeding a scope in minutes. This scope is MRAD reticle and MRAD turrets, so what you read in the glass is what you dial on the knob. If your rangefinder, your ballistic solver, and your shooting partner all speak mils, this is the version you want.
First Focal Plane
The EBR-2C scales with magnification, so its MRAD subtensions are valid at every power — range at 24x, hold at 12x, and the hashes still mean the same thing. In a second focal plane scope your subtensions are only correct at one magnification, and remembering which one is an error waiting to happen.
Parallax to Ten Yards
The side parallax adjusts from 10 yards to infinity — short enough to make this scope genuinely usable on a rimfire trainer or air rifle, not just a centerfire precision rig.

MRAD or MOA?
Optically and physically identical — same glass, same 14.3" length, same 24.6 oz, same field of view. Only the units differ:
| MRAD (DBK-10029) | MOA (DBK-10028) | |
| Click value | 0.1 MRAD (~0.36" @ 100 yds) | 1/4 MOA (~0.26" @ 100 yds) |
| Per rotation | 6 MRAD | 15 MOA |
| Total elevation / windage | 19 MRAD | 65 MOA |
MOA gives finer clicks and reads naturally if you think in inches and yards. MRAD gives simpler math, fewer digits on a dope card, and matches most ballistic apps and rangefinders. Pick the one your other gear already speaks — mixing units across a rifle rack is the most reliable way to miss.
Frequently Asked Questions
MRAD or MOA?
Whichever your rangefinder, ballistic app, and other scopes use. The two versions are otherwise identical.
Can I use it on a rimfire?
Yes — parallax adjusts down to 10 yards.
What rings do I need?
30mm, and likely tall given the 50mm objective.
