Vortex Razor HD LHT 4.5-22x50 FFP – XLR-2 (MOA) (RZR-42201)

Twenty-one point seven ounces. A 4.5-22x50 first focal plane scope with Razor-grade APO glass, an illuminated XLR-2 MOA reticle, a locking elevation turret, and the patented RevStop Zero System — at a weight a mountain hunter will actually carry. This is the MOA version, with 1/4 MOA clicks and 75 MOA of total elevation. Vortex SKU RZR-42201, UPC 843829117227.

Razor Glass, Hunting Weight

Built on Vortex's Class Leading HD Optical System with the APO (Apochromatic) System, optically indexed lenses, and XR Plus coatings — their top-tier optical package — in a 30mm tube machined from a single solid block of aircraft-grade aluminum. At 21.7 ounces it weighs about ten ounces less than a Razor HD Gen III and less than half a Gen II.

RevStop Zero System

The patented RevStop Zero System is a streamlined design that's easy to set and gives a reliable return to zero after turret adjustments — which is exactly what you need when you've dialed for a shot in fading light and want your baseline back without counting clicks. A RevStop Zero Ring ships in the box, and the locking elevation turret keeps the dial from moving on its own.

Illuminated XLR-2, First Focal Plane

The XLR-2 MOA is an illuminated long-range reticle with elevation and windage reference subtensions. In the first focal plane, those subtensions stay accurate at every magnification. Push-button illumination, CR2032 included.

Know the Travel Budget

Vortex publishes 75 MOA total elevation and 27 MOA usable above zero with the RevStop ring installed — a hunting travel budget, honestly stated. Worth understanding before planning an extreme-long-range build.

MOA or MRAD?

Optically and physically identical — same glass, length, weight, eye relief, and field of view. MOA gives finer clicks and reads naturally if you think in inches and yards. MRAD gives simpler math and fewer digits on a dope card. Pick whichever your rangefinder, ballistic app, and other rifles already use.

Frequently Asked Questions

MOA or MRAD?
Whichever matches your other gear. This is the MOA version; RZR-42202 is MRAD. The scopes are otherwise identical.

Why choose this over a Razor HD Gen III?
Weight — 21.7 oz versus roughly 32 oz, in a 30mm tube instead of 34mm. You trade elevation travel and turret heft for a scope you'll actually carry.

How much elevation do I get?
75 MOA total, 27 MOA above zero with the RevStop ring installed.

Is the reticle illuminated?
Yes — push-button illumination, CR2032 included.
