Vortex Sonora 4-12x44 – Dead-Hold BDC (MOA) (SON-412)

A straightforward hunting scope that does the job without asking you to pay for features you won't use. 4-12x covers everything from a timber stand to an open field, a 44mm objective gathers enough light for the ends of the day, and the Dead-Hold BDC reticle takes the guesswork out of holdover. Capped turrets, a 1-inch tube, 15.8 ounces, and the same VIP unlimited lifetime warranty Vortex puts on everything they make. SKU SON-412, UPC 875874005969.

The Warranty Is the Argument

At this price point, most scopes come with a limited warranty and a phone tree. The Sonora carries Vortex's VIP warranty — unlimited, unconditional, lifetime, and fully transferable. No receipt, no registration, no questions about how it broke. That's a real reason to buy this over a similarly-specced budget scope from someone else.

Dead-Hold BDC

The Dead-Hold BDC uses a customized dot design to eliminate holdover and windage guesswork at varying ranges. It's the same proven reticle Vortex puts in their higher-tier hunting scopes — clean enough not to clutter the sight picture, useful enough to extend your practical range past where a plain duplex leaves you guessing.

Set It and Hunt

• Capped turrets — zero it, cap it, and it stays put in a truck, a scabbard, or a treestand.
• Fixed 100-yard parallax — nothing to adjust in the field.
• 4 inches of eye relief — generous, and welcome on a hard-kicking rifle.
• Locking diopter so your reticle focus doesn't drift.
• 1-inch tube — fits rings most hunters already own.
• 15.8 oz.

Built to Survive

Fully multi-coated lenses in a single-piece aircraft-grade aluminum body, hard anodized, nitrogen purged and O-ring sealed — waterproof, fogproof, and shockproof.
