The kit converts a mil-spec AR-15 / M4 lower to the MCX-SPEAR LT piston platform. The 16-inch hammer-forged 5.56 NATO barrel uses a 1:7 twist and 1/2-28 muzzle threads with a removable 3-prong SIG suppressor QD flash hider. The gas system is a short-stroke piston with a dual-rod recoil assembly. A 1913 folding-knuckle stock adapter and M4 adapter are included. SIG flip-up iron sights are included. The free-float aluminum handguard is 13.3 inches long. Published overall length of the upper is 24.5 inches. Empty weight is approximately 82.5 ounces. The bolt carrier is DLC finished. A charging handle and bolt carrier group are included. The receiver finish is black anodized.
